Hungarian (Magyar) belt set from the burial near the village of Subbotitsa near Ingul river, Kirovograd Region, Ukraine. During VIII-IX the Magyars were migrating from beyond the Ural mountains to their present lands. Their way passed through southern Ukrainian steppe where some groups of them "settled" (in fact, roamed, as they were nomads). This burial possibly belongs to some of these groups. Original set was cast from pure silver and gilt.
It consisted of 1 buckle, 7 hexagonal mounts, 10 mounts with rings, 4 mounts with hole, 2 strapends.
